Shikino
Shikino High-Tech, founded in 1975 and headquartered in Uozo, Japan, is a leader in camera modules, IP cores, and semiconductor test equipment. Initially focusing on plating materials, Shikino expanded into semiconductor testing circuit boards in 1987 and IC layout design the following year. The company introduced its camera module business in 2004, which has since become its primary focus, driving its annual turnover to nearly USD 1 billion. Shikino operates branch offices in Kumamoto and Kyushu, with design centers in Fukuoka, Osaka, and Tokyo, employing over 370 people. Their product offerings include advanced camera modules with various interfaces such as USB, LAN/PoE, and global shutter, as well as customised hardware and software solutions. Additionally, Shikino provides IP cores for image processing compliant with JPEG, Shikino-LS, JPEG XL, and JPEG XR standards.
